Bollywood actor and critic Kamaal R Khan (KRK) is known for his controversial statements and tweets about various films and celebrities. He often takes jibes at popular Bollywood stars and grabs the attention on social media.
Mumbai Police have now arrested him in this regard for his questionable tweet made against Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan way back in 2020. Shiv Sena’s Young Wing Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal filed a complaint against KRK regarding those tweets.
The officers of Malad Police Station arrested KRK at Mumbai Airport on August 29. He was later questioned and arrested. A case was registered against him under IPC sections 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot) and 500 (punishment for defamation), and provisions of the Information Technology Act.
KRK will be produced at Borivali Court at 11 PM on August 30. Rahul Kanal welcomed the arrest of KRK and stated that he (KRK) often uses foul and derogatory language on social media.
Rahul opined that such behaviour is unacceptable in society and stated that Mumbai police sent a strong message to such people by arresting KRK.
