Baahubali Web Series: Director Says His Job Is Done

There is no talk about the hyped Baahubali web series that has to come on Neflix a year ago. Despite the fact that the initial announcement has come 3 years ago, till date there is no word about it either from Netflix or from producer Shobhu Yarlagadda. But here comes Deva Katta, who directed parts of it, opening up on the show for the first time.

Rumour has that after Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru directed the 10 part Season 1 of Baahubali: Before The Beginning for Netflix, which is actually based on the book Sivagami, written by Anand Neelakantan. But Deva Katta says, “I’ve finished my part of creating a Bible for the show, and directed few episodes. It is up to Netflix to take a call and they will take the final call”. And then he draws comparison with big-time shows like Game Of Thrones.

“These epic series with huge budgets like Game of Thrones will take time to kick-off. Lots of things including casting, budgets and other aspects will be taken into consideration and requires a large team to shoot the next parts like huge action episodes. So we have to wait for it” says Deva Katta.

On the other hand, Deva Katta’s supposed social drama with Sai Dharam Tej was supposed to go to shoot from April 20, but the shooting got postponed due to lockdown. The director assumed confidence that once the lockdown is lifted up, they will go for the shoot.
