The career span of heroines in the Telugu film industry is very short. They are not given much importance when compared to heroes. Even most of their roles are confined to skin show and glamour. Any heroine can have stardom for not more than a decade. Also, they need to score back-to-back successes in order to stay in the top league. Otherwise, they will be tagged as ‘unlucky charms’ or ‘iron legs’.
Thus, whenever they get a flop, heroines pin a lot of hopes on their next projects. But when their next films also fail at the box office, then their career will be at stake. Raashi Khanna, Krithi Shetty, and Ketika Sharma are in such a phase now.
Raashi Khanna was going through a rough phase for quite some time. She planned to make a strong comeback with her recent films Pakka Commercial and Thank You. But unfortunately, they turned out to be super disasters at the box office.
Krithi Shetty made a grand debut with Uppena last year. She scored back-to-back hits with Shyam Singh Roy and Bangarraju and scored a hat-trick. Soon, she also scored a disaster hat-trick with The Warrior, Macharla Niyojakavargam and Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Neeku Cheppali. Now, she desperately needs a hit to get back to the top league.
Young heroine Ketika Sharma made her debut last year with Romantic. It was a flop. Later, she was seen in Lakshya. It was a flop as well. She planned to score her first success with Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga. Even that film ended up as a disaster. Thus, Ketika’s career is in trouble now.
In this way, the hopes of these three heroines got shattered with their latest films. We have to see if they can make a strong comeback with their respective next films.
