Actress Gets Interim Bail In Extortion Case

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was granted an interim bail in the Rs 200 crore extortion case linked to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

Special Jugde Shailendra Malik granted the relief on a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 and the next hearing will be on October 22.

Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar allegedly extorted Rs 200 crore from the wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Singh.

Actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi are being questioned for hours in the case, and they both admitted to receiving expensive gifts from Sukesh. They were being interrrogated separately on different dates.

In the recent report, the ED reportedly claimed Jacqueline Fernandez admitting tat Chandrasekhar gave Rs 15 lakh in cash to writer Advaita Kala for a script she had written for a web series to be produced by Jacqueline.

Jacqueline allegedly received gifts worth Rs 5.71 crore from Sukesh, which the latter received from the proceeds of criminmal activities including extortion.
