The south edition of Filmfare awards were held last night in Bengaluru and Icon Star Allu Arjun’s last outing ‘Pushpa’ swept the awards in various categories. Allu Arjun received the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance as Pushpa Raj and director Sukumar also walked away with the Best Director award.
The songs of ‘Pushpa’ were pan India chartbusters and rightfully music composer ‘Rockstar’ Devi Sri Prasad earned Best Music Director award. Singers Sid Sriram won Best Male Playback Singer award for Srivalli and Indravati Chauhan won Best Female Playback Singer award. Last but not least, ‘Pushpa’ was crowned with the Best Film award.
Allu Arjun was over the moon with the reception and he thanked the audiences and people who have voted. He added that he was humbled with the gesture.
In this award ceremony, Bunny’s father and producer Allu Aravind was honoured with Lifetime Achievement award.
