Akshay Kumar is getting ready with his new release, Ram Setu. The theatrical trailer of this film dropped just about a while ago. Going by it, the film looks like an adventure drama in which Akshay saves Ram Setu single-handedly.
The trailer starts off by saying that evil forces are planning to destroy Ram Setu, which was built by Lord Rama. Akshay Kumar plays the role of an archaeologist who is assigned the job of discovering Ram Setu under the ocean. He will be an atheist in the beginning but turns into a believer eventually. How he then saves Ram Setu becomes the main crux of the film.
Jacquline Fernandez and Satya Dev accompany Akshay Kumar on his adventurous expedition. The visuals look good but the VFX looks very poor. The shot in the end where Akshay walks on water is artificial and lame. On the whole, it looks like Ram Setu will be an interesting film to watch out for, barring the jarring VFX work.
Nushrratt Bharuccha, Nasser, Pravessh Rana, and Jeniffer Piccinato play the other important roles in it. Ram Setu will have a worldwide release on October 25, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
