Prabhas’ Adipurush teaser is one sensation, but not in the way the makers expected. The film’s teaser garnered huge booing after it looked more like an animation than a live-action movie. Along with the common audience, some celebrities quietly agreed with the disappointment, but a lot of folks from the film fraternity chose to be silent on it. Finally, actor Manchu Vishnu reacted.
Manchu Vishnu is busy promoting his Ginna movie and during the media interaction, he gave his two cents on the Adipurush teaser. In his interview with DNA, Manchu Vishnu said he felt cheated after watching the Adipurush teaser.
Manchu Vishnu said, ‘We all thought that since they are making Ramayana, it will be a mainstream live-action movie. Nobody expected it to be an animated film. That is the reason for everyone to be disappointed. Not giving a heads-up that it was an animated film is the main reason for big trolling. You got to prepare the audience. If you don’t prepare and cheat the audience, then this is the reaction you will get. I felt cheated.’
The Ginna actor also opined that the expectations of Adipurush were high because of the biggest successes of Prabhas’ Baahubali and Om Raut’s Tanhaji.
Adipurush teaser is at the receiving end of criticism due to its poor VFX and caricaturish way of depicting mythological characters.
