‘Drishyam’, a remake of a Malayalam film, a crime thriller film, directed by late. Nishikant Kamat, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran in the lead roles was a critical and commercial success, earning over ₹1.1 billion (US$14 million) worldwide. Over the years the film went on to gain a huge following, a surprise for a remake.
Now the team is back with the sequel, ‘Drishyam 2’, which is also the remake of a Malayalam film, made by the original filmmaker Jeethu Joseph. Needless to say, the original & Telugu versions have gone on to become massive hits and gained widespread critical acclaim. The Hindi trailer of the film dropped today and the makers have made it intact with the original and painted the proper setup of the first part. The film features the same cast while Akshaye Khanna was cast as the new investigating officer who reopens the case for deep investigation.
Tabu & Ajay are up against each other yet again for their own vengeance & justice. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak, a national award winner, as Nishikant Kamat is no more. Music composed by our own Devi Sri Prasad, the film hits the screen on November 18th.
