Will Dil Raju Stick To His Tamil Logic For Varasudu?

The confirmed outing of Veera Simha Reddy for Sankranthi has just made the Sankranthi box office more interesting. But the fight for theaters seems to be inevitable. Though Sankranthi is a perfect season for multiple releases and it can accommodate more than two films easily. But there is something that film analysts are recalling from 2019 and they are asking if Dil Raju will stick to his logic.

Back in 2019, Sankranthi had seen four releases NTR Kathanayakudu, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, and Dil Raju’s F2. When it was a big headache to adjust theaters between all three films, Rajinikanth Petta came in to join the race. When Dil Raju was criticized for not letting Petta have the expected number of theaters, Dil Raju said the movie was announced late for Sankranthi releases. He also underlined that Telugu movies can have priority over Tamil films for sure.

Cut to the present, this Sankranthi will be seeing Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, Adipurush, and of course Dil Raju’s Varasudu (Varisu in Tamil). Though the movie Varasudu is called bilingual, it is primarily a Tamil movie. Even when the shootings were halted recently, Varasudu continued its shoot, because it was mentioned as a Tamil movie by Dil Raju himself.

The clash of movies for theaters during Sankranthi is unavoidable. Many are questioning is if Dil Raju willing to stand on his ‘Petta’ logic for ‘Varisu’ by letting the three major releases have more theaters.
