Rumour: Distributors Forcing Adipurush To Change Date

Already the production house “T-Series” has come with new poster of Prabhas starrer Adipurush other day, once again reiterating that January 12th, 2023 is the release date of the movie in all the languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. However, rumours are now doing rounds that the distribution network from the South is unhappy with this date. Here goes an interesting snippet.

While T-series is hell bent on releasing Adipurush on Jan 12th, already Telugu box office is flocked with other big movies like Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy, Akhil’s Agent primarily. And then, Tamilnadu is gearing up for the release of Vijay’s Varisu, which will be releasing in Telugu as well on the same day as Varasudu. Even Sandalwood is likely to see some big heroes targeting the box office on Sankranthi eve. Owing to all these factors, now some big distributors are said to have reached out to Adipurush producers to either prepone or postpone the release date of the film.

While January 6th is one viable option for Adipurush, the film might consider January 26th as well for a solo release throughout South India, though it will have Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan as a competitor in Bollywood for that date. Anyway, for now T-Series is said to be sticking to the Jan 12th date only, while one of the Telugu biggies might come up on Jan 6th as a surprise. Let’s see what happens.
