It’s Official: MS Dhoni’s DEPL Announces a Tamil Film

From a long time, rumors have already started doing rounds that legendary cricketer MS Dhoni’s ad-making and TV marketing company “Dhoni Entertainment Private Limited” is getting ready to enter the world of films. Already names of some top stars and some directors have come out regarding this venture, but here is the ‘first step’ officially being taken by DEPL now. 

Other day, on the eve of Diwali, DEPL announced that they will be teaming up with music composer Ramesh Thamilamani who has authored the graphic novel “Atharva-The Origin”, will be making his debut as a director with a Tamil family entertainer. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi is said to have given the idea of the story and she will be producing the movie in Tamil, which will get dubbed into all the southern languages as well as Hindi. 

According to an official statement, for now, only the story and director are finalised but they haven’t locked any actors or other technical crew. After having long consultations with many Tamil industry folks, finally Dhoni is said to have decided to make a bunch of Tamil films first, as he always enjoyed that support as ‘Thala’ from the Tamil people for his stint with the IPL team Chennai Super Kings. 

Back then there were rumours that some happening Telugu heroes will be featured in the debut film of Dhoni’s DEPL, but now it looks like they will be picking Tamil stars only.
