When Chiranjeevi’s 152nd film was announced, the posters had the names of Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy as the producers.
A few months ago, when rumours of Charan not investing a single penny in Acharya went viral, Niranjan Reddy’s Matinee Entertainments had refuted those rumours and openly clarified that Charan has been extending total corporation in the making of the movie.
But the recently released Acharya first look and the motion poster had no trace of Ram Charan on them. However, Konidela Production Company and Surekha presents were prominently highlighted on the posters. This clarifies that Charan is not an active producer but only an honorary presenter of Acharya.
Apparently, Charan is not too keen on the production responsibilities. The financial mishandling during Sye Raa Narasimhareddy and his jam-packed shooting schedules for RRR said to have made Charan discard the producer avatar for Acharya.
That’s why he and Chiru said to have handed over Acharya’s total responsibilities to director Koratala Siva and producer Niranjan Reddy.
