Samantha Ruth Prabhu made an impressive comeback with Yashoda. The emotional thriller with a female centric backdrop released the other day and clocked decent numbers at the Box Office.
According to trade reports, Yashoda collected about 3 Crs gross in the Telugu states on the opening day. The multiplexes witnessed good footfalls on the release day. This is a decent opening for a female centric film.
Veering to the overseas market, Yashoda made over 200 K USD in the USA including Thursday premieres and Friday numbers. This is also a decent opening. Overall, Yashoda made over Rs 6 Crore world-wide gross on its opening day.
However, Saturday and Sunday play a crucial role. These two days are key for the film to sustain at the ticket windows. Directed by newcomers Hari and Harish, the film garnered decent to mixed reviews.
It needs to be seen how the film performs in the first weekend and coming days. The makers pocketed fancy payments through the non-theatrical rights of the film.
