Nikhil Siddhartha is riding high with the Pan India blockbuster Karthikeya 2 this year. In fact, it is among the top four highest profitable films in the country this year. Now, Nikhil along with Karthikeya 2 heroine Anupama Parameswaran is coming up with 18 Pages penned by Sukumar, of Pushpa fame. And the film is bankrolled by Geetha Arts which already is into Hindi cinema production. Gopi Sundar has provided the music. Despite having these strong names, Nikhil is apparently keen on not having a Pan India release for this emotional love story.
No doubt, Nikhil is said to be quite confident in the film. But the actor is not willing to have a Pan India release for 18 Pages like his previous Karthikeya 2. We hear that Nikhil and team have no time to release 18 Pages in Hindi and promote it well. After Karthikeya 2, Nikhil garnered fame in the North. If 18 Pages releases in North, he has to allocate good time in promoting the film there. However, Nikhil doesn’t want to miss promoting the film in the Telugu states where he has a solid base.
Meanwhile, Nikhil is also open to the option of releasing a dubbed version of 18 Pages in Hindi later either theatrical or on OTT depending on the call taken by the film’s producers. The actor along with Anupama wants to aggressively promote 18 Pages first in the Telugu states. Billed to be an emotional love story, the film is said to have some surprise elements for the audiences. Let’s see whether Nikhil would recreate the magic like before or not. The makers are aiming for Dec 23rd release.
