Drugs Case: Rakul & TRS MLA Gets Notices!

The Enforcement Directorate has served fresh notices to actress Rakul Preet Singh in connection with the Tollywood drugs scandal.

Last year on September 3rd, the ED had questioned Rakul Preet in connection with the same case but Rakul left the ED office mid-way citing an emergency. From the media reports we hear that the ED did not complete its questioning and so has sent fresh notices to Rakul Preet Singh. She was asked to appear on 19th of this month.

A twist in the tale came with the ED also summoning BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy for attending the Bengaluru drugs party hosted by producer Shankar Goud.

The Tandur MLA was one of the four MLAs who part of the poaching episode and he receiving ED notices has heated up the Telangana politics. The ED has asked Rohit Reddy about the information of business transactions related to income streams and businesses of the MLA. Rohit Reddy was also asked to appear before the ED on December 19th.

In the 2021 Bengaluru drugs party, drugs worth Rs 4 crore were seized by the local police. Later the ED took over this case and we hear that Rohit Reddy attended the Bengaluru party with businessman Kalahar Reddy. Acknowledging that he received notices, Rohit Reddy added that he is yet to read the notices and will apply appropriately to the ED.
