18 Pages Trailer: Sukumar Mark Is Clearly Visible

Nikhil Siddhartha has never attempted a pure love story before. After Karthikeya 2’s blockbuster success, his long-delayed 18 Pages is hitting the theatres. He is joined by Kumari 21F director Pratap and the story is penned by Sukumar. Nikhil and Anupama, the pair of Karthikeya 2, is back and the film is bankrolled by Allu Aravind and Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts.

Plot:

Nikhil plays Siddhu, a happy-go-lucky guy, who happens to know about Nandini (Anupama). He slowly develops interest in her and eventually falls in love with her. But Nandini is in trouble. What are the problems Nandini is facing? Who is behind them? What are the 18 pages and how Siddhu unravels this mystery revolving Nandini forms the crux of the story.

Analysis

The trailer starts with a feel-good factor and has some youthful moments. There are some fun moments as well. However, the trailer promises an emotional love story laced with thrill. Like in other Nikhil films, there is a suspense element which makers seem to have held under the sleeves.  Nikhil and Anupama seem to have shined in this roller coaster ride of emotions.   

Sukumar seems to have penned an emotionally stirring story. His associate Surya Pratap helmed it. Gopi Sundar’s music score seems to have stood out. Overall, the 18 Pages trailer is raising curiosity. We have to wait and see how Nikhil and Anupama would continue their success streak after Karthikeya 2. The makers have announced Dec 23rd as the film’s release date.
