‘Never Danced In Weddings For Money’

Actress Kangana Ranaut shared an archived video of the singer Asha Bhosle who was speaking about her sister, legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar, who refused Millions of dollars for a private event sangeet. Sharing the video, Kangana wrote, “Agree!!! Even I never danced in weddings or private parties, even though I have the most popular songs… denied insane amount of money… glad to come across the video… Lataji truly so inspiring.”

The video that Kangana shared was from Asha’s appearance at DID Li’l Masters. There she spoke about the respect and honour of artists outside the film industry and how her sister maintained her dignity all along.

“Lata had once refused a million dollars to perform for two hours at a wedding. She was offered 5 million dollars and she would refuse it. Yeh artist mein hona chahiye”, Asha recalled.

Kangana compared herself with her and said even she didn’t do any private events or parties but people over the internet have called her out and shared the times when she was involved with senior actor Aditya Pancholi, father of the actor Sooraj Pancholi.
