Even if there is no big promotion happening for the two big Sankranthi releases including Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy, currently the songs they have released are doing the needful. But compared to Balayya’s mass beats composed by SS Thaman, we have Devisri Prasad’s crazy songs of Veerayya that are getting an upper hand.
In just 24 hours of its release, Balayya’s item number from Veera Simha Reddy which has the crazy lyrics, “Ma Baava Manobhavalu Debbatinnayi” has clocked 4.7 million views on YouTube.
While the song is catchy, surely it hasn’t got the attention an item number should get though Balayya’s massive dance steps are grabbing eyeballs. On the other hand, Megastar’s Boss Party song from Waltair Veerayya, though trolled when the teaser arrived, has got widespread admiration if numbers are anything to go by. Within 24 hours, Boss Party saw almost 9.5 million views coming up on YouTube.
While fans of these both stars are watching these songs in almost equal numbers, it is the neutral audience that matters in a big way. Looks like DSP’s music appealed to those neutral movie lovers as well, while Thaman’s songs are yet to crack the deal.
