One of the most spine-chilling elements in the trailer and the whole of “Akhanda” movie on a whole is the spine-chilling voice of Nandamuri Balakrishna. The variation he shows up for the two characters he played in the movie is so terrific that inside theatres you will get goosebumps just by listening to his voice. Cut to the Hindi trailer that was released today, here is what it is sounding like.
Apparently, the dubbing given for both the roles of Balayya are not so convincing that the role of Akhanda lacked depth due to the poor voice of the dubbing artist. They have given an aged voice but forgot to infuse a voice that has depth, bass and an authoritative tone. Due to the bad voice, the trailer lacked that punch, while the whole visuals and Thaman’s background score are appealing anyway.
For the Hindi audience, maybe they should have cut a new trailer rather than dubbing the old Telugu version itself. By adding more of that Siva Tatvam inside the trailer with a new compelling score, ‘Akhanda’ would have gotten terrific attention from the section of the audience that loved films like Karthikeya 2 and Kantara. But who knows, even with this dubbing, Akhanda might do well at the Bollywood box office due to its ‘godly’ factor.
