Shah Rukh Khan’s new movie Pathan has been ordered upto 13 cuts by the Censor board. The film bagged UA certificate.
The cuts include removal of Deepika Padukone’s close-up shots of ‘buttocks, side-pose and sensuous dance movements during the lyrics Bahut Tang Kiya’ from the controversial song Besharam Rang.
Reportedly there was no mention of the ‘Saffron outfit’ that triggered the controversies and protests. The word ‘RAW’ was replaced by ‘Hamare’ and ‘Langde Lulle’ was removed and replaced with ‘Toote Foote.’ The word ‘PMO’ was removed and the word ‘PM’ was replaced with either President or Minister at 13 different places.
The word ‘Mrs Bharatmata’ was changed to ‘Hamari Bharatmata’. ‘Ashok Chakra’ was changed to Veer Puraskar. The word KGB was replaced with SBU. The word scotch was changed to drink and a reference to Russia has also been removed.
