For the last few days, it is rumoured that Thalapathy Vijay and his wife Sangeetha are heading for a divorce. It all started when Vijay’s Wikipedia page stated that he is separated from his wife and is planning to divorce her soon.
On top of it, Sangeetha’s absence at the baby shower event of director Atlee’s wife Priya and at the audio launch event of Varisu added fuel to the fire. As the rumours reached peak stage, the sources close to Vijay had to clarify.
According to them, these are just baseless rumours and there is no truth in the news. They stated that Sangeetha is currently holidaying with her kids in the USA and that is the reason why she couldn’t attend the recent events.
Meanwhile, Vijay is yet to address the rumours officially. Currently, he is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Varisu which will hit the screens on January 11.
Vijay and Sangeetha met in 1996. After seeing each other for three years, they got married on August 25, 1999. They have two children, Jason and Divya.
