Samantha Doing 10,008 Japa Every day

Star heroine Samantha is back in action, and other day when she was caught with a ‘japamala’, a sacred loop of prayer beads, in her hand, as she walked through the Mumbai airport, many got stunned. Even at the trailer launch event of Shakuntalam today, she is seen sporting the same in her hand. Here is why she is carrying it.

Apparently, Samantha revealed to some media folks that she’s doing a japa of 10,008 verses every day for her good health and peace. Though Malayali Christians also do ‘rosary’ with similar beads, the actress who got converted to Hinduism years ago is said to be doing Hindu japas for the last one week. Every day she will be reciting these japas whenever time permits her to do so. That’s the reason she is carrying the japamala in her hand all the day.

Ever since the actress is down with myositis and recovered from the same, she has taken the intense spiritual path to cure herself. Not only these japas, Samantha is also visiting so many temples and also doing lots of homams these days for her health and prosperity. Being an avid follower of spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev aka Sadhguru, she indulges in a lot of these practises every day.
