RRR has done it. The SS Rajamouli directorial action drama created history. The film’s popular track, Naatu Naatu, won the Best Original Song Award at the prestigious Golden Globe Awards 2022. This is not only the first Indian song but the first Asian song to win a Golden Globe in history.
RRR was nominated in two categories for the Golden Globes Awards. While it won the Best Song award, it lost the Best Non-English Film Award to Argentina, 1985. Still, it is a remarkable achievement for an Indian film on an international stage.
RRR’s director SS Rajamouli, his wife Rama Rajamouli, lead actors Jr NTR, Ram Charan and their respective wives Pranathi and Upasana, SS Karthikeya, MM Keeravani, Shobu Yarlagadda and Srivalli attended the event.
When Keeravani’s name was announced, the entire team jumped up with joy. Keeravani thanked Naatu Naatu’s singers Kaala Bhairava, Rahul Sipligunj, lyricist Chandrabose, dance choreographer Prem Rakshit, director Rajamouli and actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan for this win. Meanwhile, the entire Indian film fraternity is congratulating Keeravani and RRR’s team for this incredible success.
