Amidst all the rumours that the Hindi version of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya isn’t really ready for a release, finally, the makers have given a stupendous clarity other day.
The Hindi version trailer of Waltair Veerayya got released other day, and it was announced that January 13th is the release date of the film in Bollywood as well. Here’s the catch.
While the Hindi version dubbing of the ‘final cut’ of the film got completed at a record-breaking spree, surely the film lacks the promotions that are required to take the film into the inroads of Bollywood.
As Megastar Chiranjeevi is not a popular face among the youths in the major Hindi markets like Maharashtra and Gujarat, surely some aggressive promotion from Chiru and Shruti Haasan would have helped the movie to get some attention.
However, with the release date inching in and major works related to the Telugu version not completed on time, Chiranjeevi hasn’t promoted the film in Mumbai. At the same time, Shruti Haasan is down with illness and she is not promoting the Telugu version too. On that note, one wonders if the Hindi version will get a respectable opening in the first place.
Though B4U Pictures acquired the rights, their primary target is said to be streaming the Hindi dubbed version on TV channels, and they are also said to be not expecting huge from the theatrical release.
Even if Waltair Veerayya gets a blockbuster talk here, the lack of ‘godly’ elements might not make the film run like a Karthikeya 2 or Kantara.
