Thaman
After Akhanda, music director Thaman teamed up with Nandamuri Balakrishna once again for the film Veera Simha Reddy. Even for this movie, Thaman gave a super hit musical album. One of the popular tracks of the film is Jai Balayya. It was also the first song to be released from the film.
Right from the release day, Jai Balayya got a thumping response from the audience. However, netizens also criticized the tune for its similarity with another popular song Osey Ramulamma. Netizens trolled Thaman heavily on social media with copy allegations.
Finally, Thaman opened up on these trolls and criticism. He admitted that there is a similarity between Jai Balayya and Osey Ramulamma. He said that they used a similar tune on purpose. “Lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry, director Gopichand Malineni and I knew about the similarity in tune and still, we used the same beats,” said Thaman.
He said that he also worked for Osey Ramulamma song under music director Vandemataram Srinivas. He further stated that songs which have a crowd theme will be in the same pitch most of the time and thus, we get a feeling that we heard it somewhere before. Meanwhile, Veera Simha Reddy is gearing up for a worldwide release tomorrow.
