Big Four: Nagarjuna Is The Only Disappointed One

Quite surprisingly when young heroes are struggling to find new-age concepts that would click at the box office, senior heroes are picking up routine mass formulae and making it huge at the ticket counters. If we look at the once big four of Tollywood, still three of them are in huge form if we have to say.

Megastar Chiranjeevi is delivering decent hits ever since he came back to film after a long hiatus. While Khaidi No 150 made it so big as it touched ₹100 crores share from the box office, his other films like Sye Raa, Godfather and Acharya did moderately, while Waltair Veerayya is just rocking at the BO.

Coming to Balayya, he’s back to form with Akhanda and continued it with Veera Simha Reddy though the content is average. Then comes Venkatesh, who has the likes of F3, Ori Devuda and Drishyam 2, where his performance always got praised irrespective of the movie’s result.

And in the Big Four, the only remaining person is King Nagarjuna, who is not scoring big hits these days. Starting with Om Namo Venkateshaya, the likes of Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Officer, Devadasu, Manmadhudu 2, Wild Dog and the recently released The Ghost, Nag got it all wrong at the box office.

Though Bangarraju worked, it has Naga Chaitanya as well to do the thing. Definitely he’s the one senior who will be in a disappointed mode at the moment, but then, bouncing back is not new to him. Hope Nag scores it big with his upcoming commercial film that will be directed by Dhamaka writer Prasanna.
