ANR Is My Babai, Balayya Clarifies On Akkineni Controversy

Drawing curtains over the Nandamuri-Akkineni controversy, Nandamuri Balakrishna has finally responded on his recent comments at Veera Simha Reddy function. Balayya said he had no intention to insult or demean legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao with whom he had shared great relation. Balayya said his comments at the event were impromptu and was not at all intentional or meant to offend anyone.

“I call him Baabai. He is so affectionate towards me. In fact, he is more affectionate on me than his own kids,” said Balakrishna on Akkineni Nageswara Rao. He added that he learnt from Akkineni on not to get carried away by praises. Balayya further explained that even NTR is referred as “NT Vodu”. He said each region uses different language and dialect to call their favourite affectionately. Balayya said, “It was all love and affection. I too spoke in similar sense. I had no intention to insult Akkineni Babayi.”

With this, Balayya has put a full stop to the ongoing controversy. Akkineni young heroes Naga Chaitanya and Akhil too have responded in their stride. However, fans of both clans erupted in war of words online.

This had even took political turn when YCP social media activists tried to take political advantage by criticism Balayya’s remarks and tried to cash in on the controversy. Meanwhile, Akkineni heroes or family is yet to respond to Balayya’s latest clarification.
