Shehzada Talk: Hero Gets Points, But Movie No Match To Original

Finally, the much awaited Shehzada which features Karthik Aryan and Kriti Sanon in the leads has hit cinemas today (Feb 17th). This film happens to be the remake of Allu Arjun’s superhit movie Ala Vaikuntapurramloo, which is crafted by star director Trivikram. What has the Bollywood audience say about the movie?

General audiences are kicked up about the film as it got nearly three superhit songs that are already going crazy on the internet. However, coming to the film, most of them gave cent marks to Karthik Aryan for his all-round show that worked well. But then, they are not happy with this story as they called it age-old one with logic going for a toss. Also, many are saying that the ’sexist’ angle of the script isn’t interesting at all.

The comparisons with the Telugu original are said to be inevitable, but it is Allu Arjun’s swag and conviction that turned an ordinary script into a superhit that Ala Vaikunttapurram lo became.

Most of the dialogues have been translated verbatim to work with the screenplay, that resulted in a rather stale drama. The comedy scenes are cringer and superficial to the most. The talk says that Shehzada might work for those who haven’t seen the original.
