Kantara 2: Rajnikanth’s Cameo? Genre Change?

Ace hero and director Rishab Shetty who has recently received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his performance in Kantara as “Most Promising Actor” has stunned the fans of the film today at an event in Bengaluru. He stated that the research for Kantara 2 has started and revealed some interesting things.

Talking to the folks there, Rishab Shetty revealed that his team is currently researching content related to the prequel of Kantara.

The film will have a similar story, but the hero-director confirmed that there will be a shift in the genre of the movie. He also added that there will be plenty of surprises in this new Kantara film. However, he hasn’t revealed anything about Superstar Rajnikanth’s presence in the film, but his silence made the talking.

When quizzed if Rajni is also a part of the movie and doing a cameo in the film as rumoured, Rishab Shetty kept mum and smiled. That led to everyone now believing that maybe the Superstar is part of the project and that is why the director didn’t make any comment on it. With Rajni praising the movie publicly through his Twitter review and then meeting Rishab at his residence, these rumours intensified.
