In recent times, the once popular hero Allari Naresh has struggled to score a right blockbuster at the box office. Back in the day, he used to be the go-to hero for many directors who wanted to make some whacky comedies. However, he changed his gear picking up serious roles, as those films are not working any more.
After flop show of films like Bandipotu, Selfie Raja, Silly Fellows and others, Naresh opted for serious and author-backed roles in films like Maharshi, Naandhi and Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam. He is now coming up with Ugram, where the teaser promises that he will be seen as an aggressive and tough cop. But these films are making his erstwhile fanbase disappointed as they are missing out his comedy.
When other comedy films like Jathiratnalu are working out, surely Allari Naresh could be the torchbearer of those films if he makes sure that those films have a bit of newness. But then, the actor completely left the comedy genre and tried to do only serious movies. That’s why some of his fans are saying that Naresh should once again consider doing comedy movies, and should shine more laughs on us. What will he do?
