Is Pooja Hegde Replaced? Or Role Changed? 

Ace director Harish Shankar has confirmed a couple of times that dusky siren Pooja Hegde is going to play the main lead in his “Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh”. Now that the film got changed to “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” and the remake of “Theri” being the story of the film, many are wondering if the star heroine is still there. 

In the wake of rumours that Pawan’s producers are looking for a star heroine including the likes of Nayanthara and other possible big starlets, these rumours about Pooja started popping up. However, as the film happens to be Theri remake, there is a requirement of two heroines for the movie. The main role of the wife who dies in the attack of rowdies is portrayed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu while Amy Jackson appeared as the second heroine, a school teacher in Goa where the hero goes on hiding along with his daughter in the original Theri. So, if Pooja is playing Samantha’s role, then a small heroine will be taken up for Amy Jackson’s role. 

And if the likes of Nayanthara or Kajal Aggarwal join aboard to play the role of wife, then Pooja would be shifted to the other role. That’s not possible as producers can’t pay too hefty to Pooja to play such a small secondary role. Only time has the answer for this as director Harish Shankar promised that he will not be sharing any updates about Pawan’s film.
