Including Best Action Film, Best Stunts, Best International Film and Best Original Song, SS Rajamouli’s “RRR” made a remarkable buzz at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards that were given in the USA. Along with his ‘Ramaraju’ Ram Charan and his composer MM Keeravani, the ace director attended this event and made some valid suggestions too.
After receiving the Best Stunts award for “RRR”, Rajamouli felt that the HCA should include the names of stunt choreographers and fight masters in this category as it is their hard work that is actually winning accolades. He felt that many fight masters from across the world have helped him carve RRR, and they should all get the applause.
“I should thank Salmon has put in lots of effort to compose lots of stunts; Juji helped us with the climax actions sequence; I thank the international fight masters for coming to India and understanding our vision to compose them. I should thank my wonderful actors NTR and Ram Charan, who never used body doubles for almost 90% of the sequences” said Rajamouli. But then he advised that the HCA makes a category that would mention the stunt choreographers. That’s a valid suggestion for sure.
While the director is getting applause for his acceptance speeches as well, anyone would easily then ask him why is the original producer of the film DVV Danayya not there to receive awards like Best Film and Best Action Film, as usually they are received by the producer of the film but not the director.
