Remake Shock: No Driving License In Telugu?

Remakes have been giving shocks to the makers unlike earlier. There were times when Salman scored blockbusters in Bollywood with the remakes from South. Even Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi managed to score decent hits with Bheemla Nayak and Godfather respectively. But things seem to have changed a lot.

The biggest release of Akshay Kumar in recent times, Selfiee had to face a huge insult at the box office. The official remake of Malayalam’s Driving License starring Prithviraj ended up as a failure in Hindi. Though promoted very well by all the stars in the film like Akshay, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharucha, and others, Selfiee could collect shockingly fewer numbers on the first day. The hints are said to be taken by the Telugu filmmakers who are in plans to make a Driving License in Telugu.

It was rumored earlier that Ram Charan along with Raviteja will be playing the lead roles in the Driving License remake. But it is heard to be on the verge of being shelved for good. We have seen Butta Bomma, Hunt, Shehzada, and other remake movies ending up as failures. It looks like the season of remakes is done with and the filmmakers are expected to come up with original content.
