Daggubati heroes Venkatesh and Rana teamed up for the Netflix series Rana Naidu. This is the first time they are acting together in full-length roles in a project. Usually, there will be a huge buzz whenever such a big multi-starrer is up for release. But there is no buzz around this series.
Rana Naidu is an official adaptation of the Hollywood series Ray Donavan. It is an action thriller set in the film industry backdrop. Venkatesh and Rana play father and son in this series. The trailer was released a couple of weeks ago.
The trailer didn’t succeed in generating enough buzz. Both Rana and Venky don’t have a big market in Hindi so we can’t expect Rana Naidu to generate buzz in North India. But even in Telugu, there is no noise about this series.
As the series is originally made in Hindi, Telugu audiences couldn’t connect to its setup and characters. Thus, there is no buzz in Telugu states as well.
Rana Naidu is set for its premiere on Netflix on March 10. We have to see if it defies all odds and proves to be a successful venture.
