Adding a suffix to a title is a craze back in the 90s, and most of the big stars and small heroes used to follow a trend blindly. After Venky’s Preminchukunda Ra, many films have come that ended with same ‘ra’. Similarly, after Balayya did ’Samarasimha Reddy’, there are a series of faction films that have ‘Reddy’ as the suffix. The trend is gone later on.
But now, there is no particular trend in giving titles, however, many bigwigs are running after a particular title without any big reasons. After doing the film ‘Ismart Shankar’, in which Ram Pothineni calls himself Ustaad, the actor wanted to use that word as a ’title’ for himself.
Surprisingly young hero, Keeravani’s son Sri Simha is coming up with a film titled “Ustaad”. Even after the posters of this film are out, Harish Shankar titled his film with Pawan Kalyan as “Ustaad Bhagat Singh”. The latest we hear is that Ram wants to do a sequel of Ismart Shankar in Puri Jagan’s direction, and that will be titled ‘Ustaad Ismart Shankar’.
Looking at these developments, definitely one would ask why this craze for the word ‘Ustaad’ suddenly in Tollywood as if films will get huge openings if that word is used.
