Two Telugu Stars Reject It, Tamil Star Picks Up

These are the days when big Tamil stars are showing lots of interest to do a straight Telugu film owing to the market here. However, they are picking stories that are rejected by top Telugu heroes and the results are confused so far. And another such development took place recently.

Vaarisu story was first rejected by Mahesh Babu and then by Ram Charan, but Tamil Superstar Vijay has done it. Though the film got trolled badly in Tollywood, it scored well in Kollywood. Then comes Dhanush’s SIR movie, in which two Telugu heroes haven’t shown interest to sign it. But then the Tamil hero came aboard, and the film worked well in Telugu but failed in Tamil. Now comes this story of Sitaramam fame director Hanu Raghavapudi who is contemplating directing his next with either Nani or Ram Charan.

Now that both those heroes said ‘pass’ regarding the same, Hanu approached Surya and the project got approved. Though Mythri Movie Makers tried their best to unite Nani and Hanu, who have delivered Krishnagadi Veera Premagadha earlier, the film didn’t work out. Even Ram Charan is looking for a pan-India film and with Sitaramam not doing minimum business in Bollywood, he dropped this project idea.

However, Surya is said to have heard the story long back and gave a nod, but the director and producer kept delaying it as they tried for other heroes too. We have to see how the fate of this film is likely to be as this is Surya’s first straight Telugu movie.
