Nani Had To Put On 4 Layers Of Makeup For Dasara

Natural Star Nani underwent a complete makeover to play the rugged character as Dharani in the film Dasara which marks the directorial debut of Sikanth Odela. He will be seen uttering his dialogues in Telangana slang, consuming liquor, smoking beedis, etc.

True to the character design, Nani appears in a dark tone and for the makeup, he had to spend hours every day. He had to put on 4 layers of makeup every day and for that, he had to spend 1 hour. And to remove the makeup, he had to spend another hour. It was so draining for him to spend so much time wearing makeup and then removing it.

The other challenging part was shooting the movie in dusty locations and in freezing temperatures.

Sudhakar Cherukuri is producing the movie on a grand scale with Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead. Santosh Narayanan provided a chartbuster album for the movie and all three songs released so far got a superb response.

Dasara is set for a Pan India release on March 30th.
