The re-release trend has picked up in Telugu, and from time to time, filmmakers are coming up with the announcement of old films hitting the screens once again. Pokiri, Jalsa, Okkadu, and other films have become big hits, and the in-flow of old Telugu films has increased significantly. Now, NTR’s Andhrawala is being brought to theatres, but fans wonder why a flop film is being pushed forward.
If the old blockbusters are remastered and released, people will see them in the theatres. It is a great wonder when flop films are being brought to theatres. Some of the fans were also disappointed when Prabhas’ Rebel was re-released in theatres. With films like Rebel getting a release, the flops of other movies also formed a line to theatres.
With the announcement of Andhrawala coming up today, the fans of NTR are angry. They are criticizing the move, saying that good films like Aadi, Simhadri, Student No. 1, Yamadonga, and Temper can be prioritized instead of Andhrawala.
Andhrawala, which came in 2004, was a sensation at that time. It is a history of special trains to take lakhs of fans to the audio launch. It gave a big shock to the audience along with director Puri Jagannadh as he failed to deliver a hit with NTR. The routine story, the comedy track, the flashback episodes was a big let down.
At a time when NTR’s RRR is being celebrated in a grand manner, flops as Andhrawala would only ruin that theatre-coming experience. Also, the footfalls in theatres have drastically come down and in such a scenario, the flop films would only kill the interest of movie lovers.
