Ram Gopal Varma was known for his films in the 90s, and for his film announcement posters in the present times. More than the films he could make or he will make, he is always busy coming up with various announcement posters. And his unmade films list might have hit a half-century already.
Recently with Varma starting to make short films that will release on the web in a pay-per-view model, he has created a sensation of sorts. Especially his Powerstar movie grabbed all the attention, but later, after the output is seen, all the expectations fizzled out. And then his semi-erotic films like Thriller didn’t work out while Murder didn’t release. But then, RGV announced “Allu” and is in a process to announce “Aah Raatri Emaindi?” that tells about the gunfire incident at Balayya’s house.
Surprisingly Varma has announced yet another film other day which revolves around the death of Disha in Hyderabad and the following encounter of the rapists. And then, the director moved to Goa as well to carve his other short film, which Varma claims as India’s first lesbian film. So, did he chose to ignore (or forgot) Allu and Balayya movies now?
Some say that he might have got a strong warning to not make such films and hence he stopped those movies. But few still feel that Varma will secretly film them and release the trailer one day.
