Connection Between Kabzaa & KGF; Hero Gives clarity

Kannada star hero Upendra is currently gearing up for the release of his next film Kabzaa. Touted to be an action drama set in the pre-independence era, Kabzaa is slated for pan-India release on March 17. Meanwhile, a lot of people are comparing this film with another blockbuster KGF.

Upendra requested viewers not to compare Kabzaa with KGF. He said that though the look and feel of both films are similar, there is no connection between the stories. The comparisons started when the theatrical trailer of Kabzaa was released.

The story of Kabzaa is set in the 1945 British Raj and traces the story of a youngster who comes from an oppressed background and goes on to become a gangster. Shriya Saran, Kichcha Sudeep and Shiva Rajkumar play the other key roles in the movie.

R. Chandru has directed the project. Ravi Basrur composed the music for it. R. Chandru and Alankar Pandian jointly bankrolled the project with a reported budget of more than Rs. 120 crores.
