Paruchuri Palukulu: Rashmika’s Character Could Have Been Better

Thalapathy Vijay scored a blockbuster earlier this year with the film Varisu (Vaarasudu in Telugu). Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, this movie featured Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Dil Raju bankrolled the project. Recently, popular writer Paruchuri Gopala Krishna reviewed the film on his Youtube channel. He opined that the movie is good but the heroine’s character could have been written better.

Paruchuri said that the way the hero was introduced in the film was good. He appreciated the efforts of Vijay and the makers for emphasising the importance of joint families in today’s age.

However, Paruchuri opined that Rashmika’s character could have been written in a better way. He said, “The importance of the heroine is very minimal in the 2.50 hours of film. There are many scenes about the family and professional politics of hero. They could have been trimmed and the romantic track with the heroine could have been increased.”

Paruchuri opined that Rashmika was confined only to songs and her character could have been increased for at least 15 minutes by deleting other repetitive sequences. “Barring a few mistakes, the film is a well-written family drama,” said Paruchuri.
