For reasons unknown, queen bee Samantha’s mythologic epic “Shaakuntalam” backed out from the release in February and now after the actress watched the final copy, it has once again appeared on the lists. Directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Dil Raju, the film is now getting ready to hit cinemas on April 14th.
Well, Samantha has first come into the public only through Shaakuntalam trailer launch event and she’s now doing so well in terms of health wise that the actress wants to do a big promotional campaign too. However, there are many films in competition for this movie at the box office throughout the month and everyone is busily promoting their movies.
It starts with Nani’s Dasara on 30th March, and if the film turns out to be a hit, then the impact of it will be there for a month. Then comes Raviteja’s Ravanasura on April 7th, which will be aggressively promoted for sure as the star hero is on a hit streak these days. And Sai Dharam Tej’s Virupaksha is set for the 21st release, and they are also planning to promote this thriller aggressively for 3-4 weeks. In that case, Samantha should work really hard to create a storm as the other traffic to the theatres is heavy.
On the other hand, the actress is bringing loads of attention to the movie with her ethereal glamour in white outfits on the posters of Shaakuntalam.
