The film ‘Lava Kusa’ starring NTR and Anjali in the lead roles, was the first full-length colour movie in Telugu. Released in the year 1963, the film went on to win a National award too. More than NTR and Anjali, it was the young boys who played the role of Lava Kusa, garnered popularity and impressed the audiences then. Nagaraju payed ‘Lava’ role in the film.
One among them is Anaparthi Nagaraju and he passed away on Monday. The 71 year old reportedly breathed his last due to respiratory complications at his residence in Gandhi Nagar, Hyderabad.
Post ‘Lava Kusa’ Nagaraju acted in nearly 300 films in both Tamil and Telugu languages. But with NTR, he acted in 22 films and many of them are mythological genres.
Nagaraju is survived with his wife and three daughters.
May his soul rest in peace!
