Star actress Kajal Aggarwal took a break from movies a couple of years ago due to her marriage and pregnancy. Her delayed projects were released in the meantime. After a long time, Kajal made her comeback with the Tamil film Ghosty.
Touted to be a horror comedy, this film features Yogi Babu, Radhika Sarathkumar, and KS Ravi Kumar in the other main roles. Ghosty was released on March 17, 2023. The film didn’t even get the bare minimum openings and the talk was disastrous. Thus, it ended up as a washout venture. The producers couldn’t even recover the budget.
Ghosty is gearing up for the Telugu release next week. Going by the result in Tamil, it may face the same fate in Telugu as well. Moreover, there are big releases like Dhamki and Dasara around the corner.
One good thing is that the film went unnoticed and didn’t dent Kajal’s reputation. Hope she comes back with a stronger project in her second innings.
