October Sentiment Worrying Mahesh Fans

The film industry is driven by a lot of sentiments. Be it release dates or cast and crew combinations, many sentiments are followed in order to make a film hit at the box office. Now, one such sentiment is haunting Superstar Mahesh Babu and his fans.

It is already known that Mahesh is currently working on his next film under the direction of Trivikram. Tentatively called SSMB 28, the shooting of this film is happening at a brisk pace. Initially, the makers planned to release it in August this year, during the Independence Day weekend.

But Megastar Chiranjeevi took that slot for his next film Bholaa Shakar. Apart from that, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer are also lined up for release at the same time. It is not good to compete in such a packed race.

So, the makers are now planning to release the movie in October during the Dasara festive season. But none of Mahesh’s films which were released in October became hits at the box office. Be it Mahesh-Trivikram’s earlier film Khaleja or the actor’s other films like Bobby, Vamsi and Athithi, everything became a disaster at the box office.

This sentiment is now worrying Mahesh’s fans. They want the film to hit the screens during Sankranthi but already, Prabhas’s Project K and Ram Charan’s RC 15 are lined up for release in Pongal 2024. So, we have to see what will be the suitable time that makers find for SSMB 28’s release. This untitled project features Pooja Hegde and Sree Leela as the female leads. Thaman is composing the music for it.
