James Cameron’s visual spectacle Avatar: The Way of Water has landed in OTT space. It premiered on March 28. Indian users can now watch the film on Youtube, Apple TV+, and iTunes. However, this will be on a pay-per-view basis and not for free.
Users need to pay Rs.590 to watch Avatar 2 once on Apple TV+ or iTunes. One needs to pay Rs. 850 for the HD version and Rs. 690 for the SD version per one view on YouTube.
The film is expected to be available for free streaming on Disney+ Hotstar but not anytime soon. Disney wants Avatar 2 to have a longer theatrical run and thus, the free streaming release date might get pushed further.
Avatar 2 collected more than $2.310 billion at the global box office and became the third biggest hit in the international arena. Avatar and Avengers: End Game are in the first two positions.
Avatar: The Way of Water features Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Kate Winslet in the lead roles. The film was released on December 16, 2022.
