Sukumar’s Brand Ruling Tollywood

Sukumar is one of the most creative directors in Telugu cinema. He carved a niche for himself with his own brand of filmmaking. Now, his prodigies are following the same path and scoring big hits at the box office.

Back in 2021, Sukumar’s assistant Buchi Babu Sana made a grand debut with Uppena. This romantic drama went on to collect more than 100 crores at the box office. A few months ago, Sukumar’s other assistant Surya Prathap made 18 Pages. It ended up as a decent hit in theatres. Surya Pratap is also the director of the successful film Kumari 21f.

Recently, Srikanth Odela made a stunning debut with Dasara. Even this film crossed 100 crores at the box office. Even Srikanth was Sukumar’s assistant till Rangasthalam. Now, another director from Sukumar’s school, Karthik Dandu, came up with Virupaksha.

While Karthik wrote the story, Sukumar penned the screenplay of this horror thriller. Virupaksha was released a couple of days ago and is getting a sensational response from the audience. It is completely a director’s film. Right from the beginning to the end, Karthik and Sukumar managed to hook the audience with a gripping narrative.

After watching the film, one would definitely feel Sukku ‘mark’ in Virupaksha. On the whole, not only Sukumar, but even his students are making their mark in the film industry.
