Agent Censor: The Cuts And The Mutes

Akhil’s Agent is finally coming to theaters without any doubt or delay. The movie is all set for release this Friday and the US premieres on Thursday the 27th of April.

The movie went to the censor and was given a UA certificate with a total run time of 156 minutes.
The team readied the first copy just ten days before the release date and it was the producer’s date lock that hurried the director to finish it on time.

After watching the violent trailer of Agent, many anticipated that it would be given A certificate just like Raviteja’s Ravanasura was given. But Agent was given an Unrestricted public exhibition – but with Parental guidance, with around eight cuts and three mutes.

Going into the details, the censor board asked to excise the visuals of the beheading, a reference to ‘PM’ along with the subtitle, the word ‘Nirbhaya’ along with subtitle text, and blood on the face and body of the hero. And the board also suggested muting the words ‘Chotiya’, ‘Maarhod’, and the word ‘Fcking’ along with subtitle text.

Akhil appeared hopeful on Agent and it has to be seen how well this movie works while the competition PS 2 is running on a low buzz in Telugu.
