Gopi has been going through a rough patch for quite some time as none of his films is working at the box office. He is aiming to strike gold with his new movie Rama Baanam.
Directed by Sriwaas, this movie is set for a grand release on May 5. Going by the trailer, the film looks like a typical commercial entertainer with formulaic elements. Even Sriwaas is not in a great form these days. But the combination of Gopichand and Sriwaas has a good track record.
They are hoping to recreate the magic with this movie as well. The main reason for Gopi’s recent failures is his script choices. If the commercial elements in Ramabanam are served in the right way, it may become a hit at the box office. On the whole, it is a vital film for Gopichand’s career.
