In a major twist, Rajinikanth’s Jailer makers officially announced that there is no postponement of the movie. They revealed the official release date is August 10 with a teaser. This emerges as a hurdle for other releases planned for Independence weekend in Telugu states.
Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar is one among them that planned to release on August 11 and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is also coming on the same date. Though tentative, Siddu Jonnalagadda’s Tillu Square and Mahaveerudu also might join the outing on August 11. Amid this mad rush, Rajinianth’s Jailer’s official confirmation pushed others into dilemma. As of now, the main fight is expected to be between Bholaa Shankar and Jailer.
There will be a huge theater clash that weekend in other states also. Bholaa Shankar probably won’t be released in Tamil to avoid unwanted comparisons with Vedalam. The makers of Bholaa Shankar might stick to Telugu states just like Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya did.
Rajinikanth’s Jailer is an action drama with Sivaraj Kumar, Mohan Lal, Sunil, and Jackie Shroff appearing in crucial roles. Beast director Nelson directed the Jailer. A Jailer who wants to bring criminals back in jail is the story and most of it appears to be happening in one night.
The expectations for Rajinikanth’s Jailer are growing big after the actor’s recent visit to AP and his political speech in Vijayawada. It has to be seen who emerges as a winner in Superstar Vs Megastar clash at Independence weekend.
